Shepard Stable is a horse boarding and lesson facility located on 34 acres between West Lafayette and Brookston. It is only 20 minutes north of Purdue University off State Road 43 North, with easy access from SR 18 and I-65.
We are open to all breeds and disciplines, with two large outdoor arenas and plenty of outdoor riding available. We are a family oriented stable that offers expert and loving care for your equines. Riding lessons are offered by mature instructors with years of experience. Please explore this site to learn more. Shepard Stable is the home of Therapeion Therapeutic Riding Center, the ONLY Professional Association of Therapeutic Riding (PATH Int'l) center in the area! PATH Int'l is the international regulatory body for therapeutic riding. Membership is optional and as a member center Therapeion abides by all safety and accreditation standards, including utilizing only PATH Int'l certified instructors.
