Shepard Stable Facility Tour
Our 90' X 100' horse barn has three wide aisles with tie stations and cross ties, fifteen stalls, locked tack storage, a feed room, and a classroom. The aisles are so wide that we ride in the barn in the winter!
The 10' X 12' stalls have corner feeders and plugs for heated buckets or fans. The custom made doors allow for good ventilation in the summer and an open and airy feeling.
Our 17' X 100' center aisle has five grooming and tacking stations. Each station has a bridle hook, saddle rack, and a tie. A set of cross ties is available at one of the end aisles. The owners and boarders ride in the barn when the weather is less than ideal outside. There is plenty of room to work on training issues and ground skills as well.
The 70' X 120' lesson arena is conveniently close to the horse barn, lit at night, has a sand footing, and shaded in the morning and afternoon. When not being used for lessons it may be used by anyone. Cones, dressage cones, ground poles, and barrels are available.
Shepard Stable's 140' X 200' lighted riding arena includes jump standards and cross poles, barrels, and pole bending poles for your use. The sand footing is perfect for what ever discipline you are practicing.
We have two large grass pastures and a dedicated mud/dry lot. Horse are turned out on pasture as grass growth and weather permit. To supplement the pasture we throw hay in the summer. In the winter we have round bales available so each horse has access to hay 24/7. Turnout also includes 24/7 access to shelter and fresh water.
Our round pen, which has a sand footing, is available for your use. It's big enough to ride in or to safely free lunge your horse.
