RIDING LESSONS

LAYOVERS
We offer layovers for travelers and emergency services. Layover services include a 10' X 12' stall, 1 bale of bedding, and the use of our arenas and round pen. You may sleep in your trailer or we can help you find suitable accommodations for the night. There's plenty of near by dining and we can direct you to local sites and entertainment. The cost is $30 per night. Additional bedding and hay is available for purchase upon request.
POST-VET MEDICAL CARE
Licensed pharmacist and former emergency medical technician Libby Marks-Shepard offers post veterinary care for your horse. We recognize that you can't always be there to provide the care your horse needs under special circumstances so now offer short term care at our stable. Services include coordinating care with your vet, dressing changes, antibiotic administration, wound care, and more. Cost is dependent upon level of care. REGULARY SCHEDULED MEDICAL VISITS
We schedule visits by a farrier, and equine dentist, and a vet on a regular basis. You have the option to sign up for those visits or to schedule your own.
HORSE EXERCISING
EXERCISE RIDE $35 for a 50 minute ride
(this is not a training ride and Shepard Stable reserves the right to refuse to ride an individual horse)
HORSE HOLDING
If you can't be at the barn to hold your horse for a medical visit, we'll do it. $10 per visit
COOKOUTS AND PITCH-IN DINNERS
During the warm months we host cookouts and pitch in dinners. What a great way to get the know the other people at the barn!
CLINICS
Is there a problem you're having with your horse or something that you want to know more about? Let us know! If we have enough interest in a topic we will schedule a clinic.
GIRL SCOUT AND BOY SCOUT PROGRAMS
Libby is a lifetime member of GSUSA and a Girl Scout trainer. She will occasionally offer badge workshops to both Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts.
THERAPEION THERAPEUTIC RIDING CENTER, INC.
